Picked & packed plastic-free
Recycled cardboard or compostable mailers, paper tape, mycelium or shredded-paper void-fill.
Carbon estimated
Checkout shows the estimated footprint for your specific order and delivery mode.
Delivered low-carbon
Cargo e-bike or EV in-zone; certified carbon-neutral carrier as a bridge outside it.
Taken back, next run
Packaging and end-of-life items can be handed back to the same courier on their next pass.
The six commitments
These are the concrete, sourceable choices that define the brand — decided early, because they shape which suppliers, packaging vendors, and couriers we can work with.
Plastic-free packaging
100% plastic-free, no exceptions: recycled cardboard boxes, mushroom- or cornstarch-based mailers, and paper tape. Void-fill is shredded paper or mycelium packaging instead of bubble wrap. If a supplier's own inbound packaging isn't plastic-free, that's part of the vetting conversation, not a footnote.
Last-mile fleet: e-bikes & EVs
Cargo e-bikes handle dense urban delivery zones; electric vans cover suburban routes. No diesel or gas vehicle is ever part of our own fleet. Orders outside the delivery radius bridge through a certified carbon-neutral shipping option from an existing carrier until our own fleet's range grows to cover them.
Carbon accounting at checkout
Every order shows an estimated carbon footprint before you pay — not a vague badge, an actual number, calculated from packaging, distance, and delivery mode. The offset is shown as its own optional line item rather than hidden in the price. See it in the cart →
Product vetting
Every SKU passes a one-page sustainability checklist before it's ever listed: material sourcing, manufacturing footprint, the supplier's own packaging, and relevant certifications (B Corp, Fair Trade, FSC, GOTS, and similar). Marketing claims alone don't clear the bar — documentation does, and suppliers are spot-checked periodically after listing. Every product page publishes what we found.
Reverse logistics
A take-back and recycling program for packaging and end-of-life products, collected on the courier's next delivery run through your area rather than requiring a separate trip. This closes the loop on the packaging we ask customers to use in the first place.
Warehouse operations
Wherever fulfillment happens — a shared bay or a small leased space — the goal is a renewable-powered facility (solar where available), energy-efficient lighting and HVAC, and a minimal-waste receiving process for inbound supplier shipments.
How we calculate the carbon figure
Three inputs
Packaging production for the order, the delivery mode you select, and the total weight being moved. That's it — no black box.
One baseline
We compare against a typical gas-van last mile to produce the "X% less" figure you see in the cart and on your confirmation.
Deliberately conservative
These are estimates from published emissions factors, not sensor telemetry. A modest defensible number beats an inflated one.
A note on honesty
Small-scale eco delivery costs more than a diesel van doing 200 stops a day, and we're not going to pretend otherwise. Our answer isn't to cut corners on any of the six commitments above — it's to stay small and curated on purpose, price honestly for what sustainable packaging and low-carbon delivery actually cost, and prove the loop works before asking it to do more.
